Assistant Buyer

Currently we have a position available in Bootlegger Home Office for an Assistant Buyer. The successful applicant will support the Buyer in all buying and merchandising functions by organizing and co-coordinating the flow of information, merchandise, and samples.

Responsibilities

- Ensures orders are processed correctly, guaranteeing scheduled delivery dates and appropriate quantity and sampling - Performs the necessary statistical and administrative tasks, which will enable the Buyer to make the most profitable merchandise selections by accurately running and maintaining reports for the Team. - Through positive and constructive communication maintains effective and productive working relationships with Allocation, Logistics, Technical Design and Marketing and other key partners.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - Minimum of 2 years retail work experience preferably in a Buying department - Post secondary degree in Retail Management or Fashion or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Inventory management and merchandising - Specking, PO entry order, sample management. - Typing and data entry - Proven experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word - Experience working with STS is preferred REQUIRED SKILLS: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Team Player with the ability to work independently - Organization and priority management - Strong analytical, mathematical, communication skills - Must be flexible, have a good sense of urgency and have good problem solving skills - Love of fashion
