Planner

We have an immediate opening in our Buying Department for a Merchandise Planner. We offer a fun work environment, competitive wages, great discounts, recognition for individual and team efforts and personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining sales and stock levels to maximize and increase profitability. Working in partnership with all areas of the buying team the main areas of responsibility for this person are: -To generate, update and maintain the integrity of the sales plans in conjunction with the buying team and company strategic direction. -Effective management of the plan by forecasting sales, markdowns and receipts to maximize sales and profitability. -Close interaction with distribution teams to ensure that store targets support the plan. -Initiate and interpret data to support the planning process and maximize opportunities.

Qualifications

-Minimum of 2-4 years of planning experience (or equivalent Buying experience) -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience -Strong analytical and communication skills -Conceptual problem solving and superior organization skills -Computer proficient with a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint -Leadership skills -Knowledge of retail based systems (i.e AS400, STS) -MMS/Arthur experience -Good fashion sense
